As part of our ongoing effort to provide the some of the best content creation tools, boostoffe for our customers the TrilbyTV content catalogue this year, we’re excited to launch some updates to Smart Content and something new.

Improvements to House Points

House Points are a beautiful way for schools to share team progress across the school, whether you have houses, classes, teams, or perhaps even just for those one off occasions like Sports Day.

We started with a refresh of our House Points Smart Content. Updating your house scores is now super easy thanks to a refreshed editor with many quality of life improvements like support for CSV files, house sorting (by name or total points) and custom colour choices so you can match your own branding. We’ve also increased the number of houses you can add, as we know a few of our customers are almost hitting triple digits!

To help celebrate student achievements in style, we've also added two fresh new themes to the existing Waves design:

Neon – a vibrant, colourful design that pops!

Antique – a classic, magical look for house competitions.

Leaderboards

Built with flexibility in mind, Leaderboards make it simple to display rankings for almost anything. With flexible layouts and easy customisation, you can share student merits, attendance goals, sports scores, or reading challenges in a clean, fun format. Input your results, or upload a CSV, then pick your styles, and add a custom image, or use our Search to find the right style for your content.

Word of the Day

One of the key skills for learning and recollection is repetition, and with that in mind, we’re also launching Word of the Day, a testing tool for modern foreign languages. Word of the day selects from a pool of answers, and shows a word on screen in Scrabble-like way, revealing one letter as the day progresses. You can pick from our built in language packs for Welsh, French, Spanish or German, and you can customize the words given to for your own needs. Create one for months of the year, food, places, jobs, or weather, pick anything to fit your theme. Or you can choose a language we don’t have a pack for, and add your own from scratch.
